Salt Lake City, October 21 — Sales of the Champions Card, a unique fundraising program from Access Development, have grown by 128% over the past 12 months. With groups reporting easy sales and record income, it is easy to see why.
"The Champions Card proved to be one of our best fund raisers this year," reported Debbie Perry of Team Spirit Cheerleading in Colorado. "We especially liked the large profit return we received. Many cards sold because they were very reasonably priced and could be used by friends and relatives in other states."
The Champions Card puts the power of hundreds of coupon books into the donor's hand, activating discounts of up to 50% at over 250,000 top retailers nationwide. Card holders save on dining, movies, travel and theme parks, as well as favorite retail shopping brands like Ann Taylor, Target.com, Dell, Sketchers and KB Toys.
The card can be customized for a variety of youth sports teams—from hockey to cheerleading, soccer to gymnastics. Each card comes in a handy card carrier that clearly describes the program so kids have an easier time explaining the program.
"Donors want the card and get excited about it—it simply dwarfs other coupon books and local cards," explains Dan Aamodt, Director of National Fundraising at Access. "Plus, the Access fundraiser lets donors see and buy the card on the doorstep, so kids don't need to make multiple trips for delivery or collections."
At just $20 a card, the card easily pays for itself in savings, so kids have an easier time making the sale. Teams keep $12 per card sold and return unsold cards after the fundraiser ends. Since the product is paid for after the campaign, it is a low—risk, high—profit program.
Top—selling groups have earned over $5,000 in as little as three weeks, and groups across the country have used the program to meet their fundraising goals. "Our gymnastics team raised $1,260 and it was so easy!" Lisa Mendicino of New York reported, "I highly recommend Access to anyone who is looking for an easy fundraiser."
"The Champions Card allows teams, parents, and athletes to spend less time fundraising and more time doing the activities they signed up to do," says Aamodt. "It's an easy process, a useful product and a profitable program, which is why the program is growing so quickly—and why groups are returning to us year after year."
